WE ARE CALLING ALL OUR ANGELS

     Published Mar. 1, 2020. OutLove International Film Festival’s mission is happiness, love and respect. We want everyone to enjoy their film festival experience.

     One of our very important measures of success is the number of young people who show up and buy tickets, see our feature films, see our documentaries, and help make our film festival an immediate, great success.

     Our film festival very much relies on ticket holders to buy tickets so we can pay for the licenses to show new, top-notch, feature films and new, top-notch documentaries; very much relies on our sponsors to pay for all other festival costs, plus fund student scholarships, fund film project grants, and fund documentary project grants; and very much relies on our community nonprofits to meet and greet at our film festival to highlight their services to our community.

     We greatly appreciate everything everyone does to make our film festival an immediate, great success, but if you ask us: “Why have a film festival?” Our reply is this: “It is for our youth.” We want to show them on screen—happiness, love and respect, so they can see themselves living lives of happiness, love and respect.

     And, just as important, we want to show them us, who also buy tickets, see our feature films, see our documentaries, and help make our film festival an immediate, great success. We want to show them us, living lives of happiness, love and respect.

     To make our point, we ask everyone to be the angels we are, so our youth can affirmatively answer their immediate question: “Can I live a life of happiness, love and respect?” “Yes!, I can.” I see it in the films on screen. I see it in the smiles and hand holding and cuddling of everyone around me. I hear it in the kind words and kind voices and laughter of everyone around me. “I can. I can live a life of happiness, love and respect.”

     Calling all angels. We ask everyone in our community to show happiness, love and respect. 

(We reserve the right to deny anyone entry to the film festival building and grounds and we reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the film festival building and grounds who does not support our film festival’s mission of happiness, love and respect.)
