We Very Much Need Our Sponsors (Published Mar. 1, 2020)

     OutLove International Film Festival relies on tickets sales to pay for licenses to show feature films and to show documentaries. 

     Our film festival relies on international, national, state, and local businesses to pay for all other festival-related costs. 

     And we rely on these businesses to:

• fund our college and trade school scholarships for our youth; 

• to fund our feature film project grants and our documentary project grants to increase box office success and visibility of LGBT+ films and documentaries; 

• to fund our $1,000 feature film audience award, our $1,000 feature film juried award, our $1,000 documentary audience award, and our $1,000 documentary juried award; and

• to fund our honorary Crystal Heart Awards to recognize and honor LGBT+ leaders in our international, national, state, and local communities, who day in and day out advocate for us so that we can live lives of happiness, love and respect.

     There are several ways that businesses can support our film festival and our film festival’s mission of happiness, love and respect.

 Film Festival Network Booklet 

     Businesses can support our film festival and our film festival’s mission by advertising in our film festival network booklet that is free to our ticket holders and free to anyone or any entity connected with our film festival. 

    The network booklet highlights the feature films and documentaries we show at our film festival; highlights our international, national, state, and local LGBT+ leaders who receive our honorary Crystal Heart awards; highlights our international, national, state, and local LGBT+ non-profits; and highlights businesses that support our film festival and our film festival's mission of happiness, love and respect.

College and Trade School Scholarships 

    Businesses can support our film festival’s scholarship program and receive recognition in our film festival network booklet. 

     Our film festival works with a local foundation, that supports our film festival's mission, to fund $1,000 per semester scholarships for a total of ten semesters ($10,000) per qualifying student applicant. To guarantee funding for a student scholarship, a fund of $10,000 per student scholarship must be collected in advance to ensure each student winner has secure funds to pay for each future semester.

    Individual donors or businesses that fund a whole $10,000 scholarship may do so anonymously or may request recognition for the scholarship in the individual donor’s name or in the business’s name.

     (We ask individual donors and businesses to send funds directly to the local foundation and designate the funds are permanently restricted to OutLove International Film Festival for scholarships. Our film festival will maintain a strong, working relationship with the local foundation to ensure that the foundation fulfills its fiduciary duty.).

Film Project Grants and Documentary Project Grants 

 Businesses can support our film festival’s grants program and receive recognition in our film festival’s network booklet. 

    Our film festival works with a local foundation, that supports our film festival's mission, to fund $10,000 per qualifying feature film project or qualifying documentary project.
    To guarantee funding for a feature film project grant or documentary project grant, a fund of $10,000 per grant must be collected in advance to ensure that each project winner has secure funds to pay for the winner’s project grant.
